This is a busy season for many of you, so today we’re offering something fun to illustrate how powerful perspective really is, and to share some awesome creativity, planning, and dedication from the team that pulled this off.
OK Go is a band that is known for their creative videos. Below is “The Writing’s on the Wall,” which is a great example of the POWER of perspective. No special effects were used in making this other than a meticulous layout, timing, and camera angles.
Enjoy!
How cool is that! Here are a few more of the details of how they made the video:
- It took two months of planning to design the set
- Fifty people spent three weeks to build and fine-tune the set
- Those same 50 people were required during the filming, all but the four band members behind the scenes.
- They took 60 takes, and completed the full run 18 times.
- The video used was filmed in the middle of those takes, and everyone running out and cheering was not artificial. According to the production designer, the whole team loved what they were doing, and were actually kind of bummed when the shoot wrapped.
I hope this adds a little fun to your day, and reminds you about the power of perspective and team.
