LEAD 365 Alumni, we hope you enjoyed the holidays, including some time off for yourself and some team with family and friends.
Over the past few days I’ve done what is very natural for many of us to do at this time of year: I’ve been reflecting on 2016 and planning for the new year ahead.
2016 was a great year for LEAD 365. We added four new cohorts to our learning community and now have nine cohorts of West Michigan leaders in all. We continue to be on track to have a thousand leaders participate in LEAD 365 by the year 2027. We have a long way to go but have built the momentum we need to make our vision become reality. We also added Gerald Alvaro to our team last spring and are thrilled to have him join us on our mission. If you want to learn a little about him, check him out on our website.
As a team, this puts us right on track for where we need to be for 2017 in order to achieve our vision of building up 1,000 leaders through LEAD 365 by 2028. Our plan is to initiate six more cohorts in 2017—three in March and three in September. Please contact us if you know of people you want us to pursue as we work to fill these spots in the next two months.
As I was reflecting on the state of our work together, I also reflected on my personal development, which took me to our leadership audit. Many of you know of this unique audit that we created for alumni. Going forward we plan to create a rhythm of using this annually to help you track your progress as a leader. We have some work to do to figure out how best to do this. Maybe you have some ideas for us. If so, we’d love to hear them!
In the meantime, please consider taking a few minutes to make a self-assessment using the audit, which I will send to each of you via email. If you do this, your coach would be happy to review your results with you, either over the phone or in our office. This would be a good chance to reconnect and encourage you to continue your growth as a key leader in West Michigan.
Thank you. We look forward to hearing from you!
Happy New Year!
