Making West MI Stronger by Developing Leaders Worth Following

Zeeland, Michigan—DISHER, a business consulting, engineering, manufacturing tech, and talent recruitment firm based in Zeeland, Michigan, announces the purchase of Leading by DESIGN, a leader-development organization with offices in Zeeland and Grand Rapids, Michigan. The transaction will be effective on April 3, 2023. Leading by DESIGN will continue to maintain its name, brand, and team and run as a separate entity of DISHER.

Leading by DESIGN is an ideal fit for DISHER,” states DISHER Founder, Jeff Disher. “It adds to our business solution offerings in a way that strengthens our mission and culture to make a positive difference. Effective leadership is what impacts an organization the most; it drives everything. Our clients will have access to our best-in-class leadership training that will not only influence their own team’s performance, culture, and bottom line but ripple out into the greater West Michigan corridor of Grand Rapids, Holland, Zeeland, Kalamazoo, and Muskegon. That excites me!”

Leading by DESIGN and DISHER have maintained a close relationship over the years. In fact, the Founder of Leading by DESIGN, Rodger Price, and Jeff Disher began their friendship in the 1980s as budding engineers at Prince Corp in Holland. The two companies even share the same Colonial Clock Building location in downtown Zeeland. Both organizations agree in their philosophy that every leader was created with a unique design to be explored. The synergies of leadership, culture, and organizational development solutions will work together to better serve our West Michigan community. DISHER hopes to broaden the leadership offerings available through Leading by DESIGN from their offices in Grand Rapids and Zeeland and onsite at customer locations.

Founded in 2014, Leading by DESIGN offers comprehensive and personalized leader development to help executives, managers, and future leaders learn, understand, and practice the skills needed to be successful. Leading by DESIGN’s popular LEAD 24/7 program provides a day-long training session for 12 months where participants study and practice key teachings. Every participant also receives two hours of individual coaching each month. DISHER has already partnered with Leading by DESIGN since 2018 with a condensed version of Price’s curriculum called LEAD 24/7 Focus.

The Leading by DESIGN brand and reputable team of coaches will remain intact with Elizabeth Rolinksi continuing in her role as Managing Partner behind Rodger Price’s continued commitment. “My continued vision for Leading by DESIGN is to have 1,000 people go through the program by 2027,” smiles Rodger Price. “With DISHER’s marketing efforts, client relationships, and reputation in the market—I believe we will reach this goal. As Silicon Valley is to high-tech and Nashville is to country music—my hope is for West Michigan to be known for great leadership. I couldn’t be happier to have DISHER acquire Leading by DESIGN. Together, we will develop extraordinary leaders that will make this world a better place.”
